Regional Visioning Workshop

On March 24, 2003, the Winalagalis Treaty Group and the Regional District of Mount Waddington jointly hosted a visioning workshop. Participants included elected officials of local municipalities and the Regional District of Mount Waddington.

The purpose of the workshop was to increase awareness of the ongoing Treaty process and to explore opportunities for coordination and cooperation in a post-Treaty environment.

Participants formed small groups to brainstorm ideas for cooperation on regional planning, tourism, and consultation.

Workshop participants enjoyed a feast of traditional First Nation foods and a dance and song performance by the Gwawina Dance Troupe.
